It is important that workplace incidents be investigated promptly and thoroughly.

Incident investigations help determine the causes of an incident so you can take steps to ensure that the same incident will not happen again. CSI can investigate and document: serious incidents, incidents that result in injuries and incidents that have the potential for serious injury (for example, near misses). This includes taking detailed statements from involved parties and other staff and examining evidence. We will consider, examine and report to you on unsafe or defective equipment, unsafe environment or conditions, physical hazards, job planning and instruction, work practices, work conditions and personal factors.


Misconduct, fraud and inappropriate behaviours in the workplace are faced by many organisations. CSI conducts independent, impartial and sensitive investigations into a range of workplace matters, including:


  • Bullying and harassment, including sexual harassment

  • Misconduct, including serious misconduct

  • Breaches of privacy

  • Whistleblower investigations

  • Complaints

  • Grievances

  • Serious fraud and corruption

  • Misuse of property and resources, including the internet

  • Administrative reviews

CSI can assist in Mediation, where a neutral third party is required to assist in resolving conflict in the workplace through the use of specialised communication and negotiation techniques. We use a wide variety of techniques to guide the process in a constructive direction and to help the parties find their optimal solution.
